NAEMT TECC Law Enforcement

The NAEMT TECC LEO is an educational course under the auspices of the Council for Tactical Medicine and falls within a series of NAEMT certified courses with worldwide validity.

The course, divided into theoretical and practical parts, includes complete preparation for providing pre-hospital care in a tactical environment with the help of drills and techniques and the use of special aids under the supervision of experienced instructors from the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, the Police of the Czech Republic and the EMS. The procedures are applicable in hazardous environments, including active shooters, and consider local legislation and competencies.

Participants will experience dealing with pre-hospital care in an authentic tactical environment using algorithmic medicine. They will try tactical triage, airway and circulation management and shock therapy. There are also the basics of diagnostics for head, eye, torso and limb injuries. Training takes place on simulators and model situations that ensure real readiness, not just training.

The target category of students are armed security forces, members of the municipal police, firefighters, paramedics, medical personnel and people operating in war zones. However, the course can be completed without previous experience in providing urgent care.
