director, coureses for healthcare professionals Studied emergency medicine (Constantine the Philosopher University) and healthcare management (Charles’ University). He first worked at the ICU in Na Homolce Hospital, then in ambulance service teams. In 2006-2007 he worked in Great Britain, where he gained the British paramedic licence as one of the first Czechs. After returning to the Czech Republic he continued working as a paramedic with the ambulance service. He attended Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) training, achieved instructor level of Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses. He is a member of the editorial board of the magazine “Emergency Medicine”, member of the Czech resuscitation council and member of the Czech Society for Emergency and Disaster Medicine CzMA JEP. He writes a blog about the work of a paramedic.
