We really appreciate the fact that we can be partners of the 1st International Course of Mountain Medicine in the Czech Republic!
The course is suitable for doctors and medical staff accompanying mountain expeditions, doctors and paramedics of the mountain and air rescue service and mountain guides. It is focused on mountain and expedition medicine, rescue operations in difficult terrain including the use of a helicopter, avalanche accidents, hypothermia and frostbites. Participants who complete the course will receive the internationally recognized Diploma in Mountain Medicine (DiMM); the course is recognized by the medical committees of UIAA and ICAR.
The team of lecturers consists of renowned European specialists in mountain medicine, traumatology, air rescue and experienced mountain guides. The guarantor of the program is Dr. Kristina Höschlová, an expedition doctor with many years’ experience with the air rescue service both in the Czech Republic and in the area of the Mont Blanc massif in France.
